On February 6, the first SusCrop Consortium Meeting was held with 37 representatives in Gent (hybrid event). A current update on the budget and reporting timeline was given, followed by a state of progress on the monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of the co-funded Call research projects.
Follow-up, monitoring and evaluation for all other additional calls will be handled within the Green ERA Hub that officially kicked-off on September 15-16. All consortium members also agreed to disseminate the ERA-Net SusCrop video contest (extended submission deadline: May 2023) within their networks of potentially relevant stakeholders at the local, regional, national, EU and international level.
As a guest speaker, the Consortium welcomed Prof. Peter Gregory from Reading University. Peter Gregory chaired an international expert group that assisted SusCrop to write an impact assessment report of the co-funded research projects of the first SusCrop Call. This report will be available in the near future for the interested public.
In addition, WP8 presented the results of the first strategic workshop on “protein crops” and the ongoing preparations for the final workshop in May 2023 in Berlin. The SusCrop Consortium Meeting was followed by an “outreach seminar for international collaboration” organised by ILVO back to back with the joint research projects’ mid-term meeting of the 2nd SusCrop Call on the 7-8 of February.
